This center piece or penny rug is made from 100% felted wool
The center of the Poinsettia is made up od french knots and stem
stitches to emboss the flowers and holly leaves.
All the pieces are sewn with the blanket stitch and the beads and buttons are sewn on.
There is a gold stem stitch design stitched around the flowers.
The center background is sewn with the blanket stitch to the grey background
piece and there is also a black running stitch around the black center piece.
There are 10 black pennies on the grey background. The grey background is
sewn to a matching grey backing with the herringbone stitch
